Details
The interwiki list is contained in the interwiki.list file (the successor to the old MySQL-specific interwiki.sql).
It is the initial list of interwiki prefixes and urls used by DatabaseInstaller ::populateInterwikiTable() to populate the interwiki table.
History
On 21 August 2003, interwiki.sql superseded a "big ugly array".[1] On 7 May 2010, interwiki.list superseded interwiki.sql.[2]
