This page helps you to install a downloaded font in your computer manually. Depending on your Operating System and its version, follow the instructions given below.

Windows

Windows XP

  1. Close all applications.
  2. Copy the downloaded font to C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

Windows Vista and Windows 7

  1. Close all applications.
  2. Right-click font files to be installed.
  3. A menu will pop up, select > Install.

Linux

GNOME

  1. Open the font using Font viewer.
  2. Click on the install button in font viewer.

KDE

  1. Right-click font files to be installed.
  2. A menu will pop up, select > Install Font.

Install for All Users

  1. Save fonts in a separate folder. For example: "Downloads/fonts".
  2. Open terminal and run the command:
sudo cp -R ~/Downloads/fonts /usr/share/fonts

Mac OS X

  1. Drag and drop the selected font files into the Library’s Font folder.

Mac OS 10.3 or later versions

  1. Double click the font file to Open it using FontBook.
  2. To install only for you: Click > Install Font button.
  3. To install for all users: Select > Preferences and change > Default Install Location from "User" to "Computer". Then click > Install Font button.
